Robert J. Brening (known as Bob) is a carpenter and cabinet builder since the year 2000. He is self-employed, working full time as a contractor. He loves wood working and wanted to be more creative with his skills outside of cabinet and furniture orders, so he purchased a lathe and got to work in his garage creating beautiful wooden bowls. When his wife Amanda saw his work, she knew that other people would love it as much as she did, and together they decided to create RJB Woodwerks. Amanda has a degree in business, so she puts her talents to work on that aspect of their company, leaving Bob able to devote his time to being the craftsman. It all started with the bowls, and those are still their most popular pieces, but Bob is always trying new things and expanding. They strive to be an eco-friendly business, using wood that comes from the local area, and never cutting down live trees to acquire it. Some pieces even use wood salvaged from historic buildings. Both Bob and Amanda still hold full-time jobs, so you will mostly find RJB Woodwerks at craft and artisan markets held around Colorado on the weekends. Check the event listings to find other scheduled shows. If you own or manage a shop that would be interested in consigning some of RJB Woodwerks pieces, please send an email to RJBWoodwerks@gmail.com.
